GF Community Band Sousa Tribute Concert

On Dec 17, 1923, the Sousa Band returned to Great Falls, MT for a third performance of four total appearances in the Electric City. For this event, the citizens of Great Falls were treated yet again to a matinee performance as well as the traditional evening concert.  Sousa also conducted the orchestra at Central High School (the Paris Gibson Square building today) during the intermission of the matinee, a point of pride for the community.

The Concert on Dec 17, 2023 is a tribute to the 100^th anniversary of the 1923 event.  We are not trying to duplicate the program from that concert, but we are trying to show the audience what a concert of this era could have looked like. Featured soloists will be Jake Kittelson (tuba) and Hannah Kittleson (horn), and will also include members of the HS Bands in Great Falls Public Schools.  The concert will be conducted by Dusty Molyneaux
