Hook & Ladder Days of the Great Falls Fire Department

At 1pm on Second Saturday November 9, The History Museum invites the public to a free admission presentation in the Ozark Club to learn about the hook and ladder days of the Great Falls Fire Department from Ashleigh McCann, Collections Curator. This free admission program will feature The History Museum & Research Center’s Great Falls Fire Department Collection which includes photographs and objects from the late 1800s to the 1920s. McCann will share insights from her research with the collection as well as tales from the early days of the department’s history, including notable fires, the horse who was given a retirement banquet, and a revered fire chief who started his career as a travelling circus performer.
